Janie @theluck6pence www.theluckysixpence.co.uk  a very talented jewellery designer who I’ve kept in contact with since 2021 after we attended a wedding suppliers workshop asked me if I wanted to contribute my wedding cake ideas for her blog post ‘honouring past loved ones’ which I was very happy to provide and submit a handwritten Wafer Paper message on one of my Wafer Paper wedding cake designs.

This lovely couple found me online after they were disappointed with the London area of cake makers where they lived so after we had a few Zoom call conversations and a Gluten Free Wedding Cake Tasting Postal Box, which they loved so much, they chose me to create their wedding cake which was completely gluten free. 

Vanessa knew she would love their wedding cake so much that she gave me a bottle of wine and thank you card just before she walked down the aisle – complete trust indeed!

This Harry Potter Themed Wedding was an absolute joy to be involved with creating a sage green Rice Paper wrapped 3 Tiered Wedding Cake for a couple who knew my design was going to be exactly what they wanted.

Faye was so happy with her ‘cake of her dreams’ that she emailed a review and popped round with a card & bottle of Prosecco for me the following week after their wedding.

Tom and Murray were amazing photographers @one thousand words photography and Jessie the florist www.westdorsetweddingflowers.co.uk arranged a beautiful circle of flowers around my cake.

Lucy who I regularly contact from www.lucymcspiritdesign.com created the perfect wedding cake menu which I usually encourage couples to have so that it helps guests to know about each cake tier flavour and they can also make an informed choice if there are any dietary issues etc.

Sam & Georgia May, ’24 Family Wedding at Clock Barn, Tufton Warren, Winchester RG28 7RB

I created a 4 tier Wedding Cake finished in textured ganache decorated in my signature style of sage green watercoloured Rice Paper contemporary shapes.

All the Family and friends were all amazed by my design that I had free rein over all commenting to have never seen a cake like it which had surpassed their expectations with the wonderful tastes of Cinnamon Latte, White Chocolate and Belgian Chocolate Fudge.

Sam and Georgia were just ‘blown away’ happy too!

The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House was the setting for a small Mediterranean styled wedding shoot.

I created an Italian old ceramic tiled 2 tiered cake for the beautiful rustic Barn Wedding Venue that has outdoor woodland areas for civil ceremonies.

Natasha Gilchrist from Tasha Mae Wedding Co-ordinator recently launched her new prop/hire business Mae and Maple.  This beautiful Boho Style Wedding Shoot was organised at Quarry Wood in April, ’24 part of 3 Wedding Venues at Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire.

I created a 2 sided, 2 tiered wedding cake in my signatured styled textured ganache finish with Rice and Wafer Paper shapes and White Chocolate Fabric encasing dried flowers to showcase 2 of the venues styles.

County Wedding digital Magazine has an exclusive feature of this styled shoot in the Sept/Oct, ‘24 edition.

I’m happy to announce I was a nominated Finalist in 2 categories this year for Cake Designer and Couples’ Choice Awards at The English Wedding Awards ceremony held in Birmingham.

I attend many wedding fairs and wedding photoshoots one of which is Loandbehold held last year at The Mansion at ColdEast Southampton where I was involved in creating a white wafer paper design cake for the promotional shoot back in March 2023.

I will be attending this year’s Loandbehold Wedding Fair in October,2024 at Stansted Park Wedding Venue, Hampshire.

I also created a wafer paper 2 tier design for a wedding shoot at The Bugle a new Venue in Southampton.

My London Masterclass Vase Cake creation, tutored by my Cake Idol Marina Machado, was used to show couples that a statement piece can be created with the option of cutting it or to have a traybake behind the scenes of chosen flavours to be cut for wedding guests.

This was a success at the showcase as couples had never seen anything like it and it helped them to consider something stunning and unusual.

I also displayed my Vase Cake at Bartley Lodge Hotel, January 2024 Showcase.
